My name is Matt East and I have owned, studied and worked with horses for almost 11 years before starting my own equine transport business.
I spent four years at Hartpury College studying firstly for a National Diploma in Horse Management, then Equine Sports Science. Before starting this business, I worked for a national equine charity helping to rehabilitate mistreated and abandoned equines, all of whom required patience, care and professional attention for a variety of problems.
I provide a friendly, experienced and professional service offering the highest possible quality horse transport and groom services nationwide from my base in Norfolk.
I am fully Type 2 DEFRA/WATO certified as both a driver and groom/attendant for journeys up to 12 hours in my purpose built horsebox which has been carefully designed for the comfort and safety of both horses and passengers.
I offer a full 24 hour a day, seven days a week service.
Unlike most other companies I do not charge extra for call-out outside normal business hours.
In most cases you will only need me out of hours in an emergency and I don't feel that it is fair to add financial pressures at an already worrying time.
I have been approved as a Regional Provider for the country's largest horsebox/trailer breakdown rescue services, Equine Rescue Services (ERS), PRP Rescue and Autohome Recovery

Matt East Equine Transport is a fully licensed and registered Animal Transporter with the Animal Health and Veterinary Laboratories Agency (a division of DEFRA), as required by both British (Welfare of Animals (Transport) Order 2007 (WATO)) and European (Council Regulation EC No. 1/2005) regulations. My Animal Transporter Reference is UK/BURY/T2/00101112 which is valid for journeys up to 12 hours.
Having spent many years working with and studying horses I am able to offer a personal and professional service tailored to the needs of equines and their owners with those little touches that are often lacking from larger companies.
